When you’re transmitting and storing data in an off-site cloud which is owned and supported by a third party provider, you’ll want to be sure it’s robust and safe. ISO 22301 is the international standard for Business Continuity Management. It’s designed to protect your business from potential disruption from issues such as extreme weather, fire, flood, natural disaster, theft, IT outage, staff illness or terrorist attack. Having ISO 22301 in place means a provider has identified and put plans in place ahead of time to ensure their business doesn’t come to a standstill in the event of a business continuity issue.
